Primary 5 Christmas Party 2024
PANTO
It was cool because they had a bunch of acting but only 4 actors. Logan
It was really fun because everyone joined in and because one of the girls turned into a donkey. Islay
I really liked how the dad was also the bad guy, he played both parts and I liked the toys and the big teddy bear and all their dances were cool. Jessica
It was fun but it was really loud and a bit babyish. Morgan

Bannockburn
We had a wonderful trip to Bannockburn and are thrilled to share some of our photographs and favourite parts. The children's behaviour was exemplary throughout the day. They demonstrated the school values Ready, Respectful and Safe and also threw in much more including cooperation and enthusiasm. Our leader, Rebecca was impressed with the children's knowledge of Scottish Wars of Independence and also their curiosity. The trip was not only educational but also a testament to their maturity and teamwork, I honestly couldn't be prouder! A MASSIVE THANK YOU to our parent helpers and apologies if I did not thank you in person, we were a bit rushed on arrival back to the school (due to the fog the bus arriving a minute or two before the school bell). School trips could not happen without you! Oh and my favourite part was ALL OF IT! Ms Paton
I loved when we tried on the different helmets and chain mail. Emily
The 3D part because it made Bannockburn seem alive. I liked when we got to dress up because it was like we were getting ready to fight in the war. I also liked the part when we went outside and we pretended that we were waiting for ages for the enemies. Charlotte
My favourite part was when we got to wear the chain mail and went into the 3D room. Emme
I got to be Edward II and make decisions about where to go and what to do. Should I go to the west or the east? I made the same decisions that Edward II made at the time. Luke
The armour, chain mail, weapons and helmets because we got to see how heavy things were and it was famous. Lois
My favourite part was when we pretended to be a Scottish and English army around the map room and we got to shout 'whoosh', 'kebab' and 'charge'. I was a spear person so got to should 'KEBAB!!' Poppy
I liked learning about facts and what happened at Bannockburn and putting on the chain mail and how Scotland kept on beating England. I also liked when we went into the 3D room. Calum
I was Robert the Bruce and I liked this because Rebecca would ask me questions like 'should you camp overnight or get there now?' and I got them right - what Robert the Bruce actually did. I also liked going to see the replicas of the weapons they actually used. Replica means the same thing but made with a different material - not the true thing. I liked seeing the statue of Robert the Bruce outside and seeing Stirling Castle. Islay
I liked looking at Robert the Bruce statue as we got to look at what he might look like in his armour. I like the story on the map, it was really cool because there was a model of the Roman roads etc. Megan
My favourite part was at the end because we got to put on the chain mail. I also liked the 3D experience when the soldiers were on the screen. Oh and the map - it was cool! Jessica
My favourite parts were; the 3D room, the map room and getting to try on chain mail. I liked shouting CHARGE in the map room. Rebecca was talking about all of our characters and if she mentioned the Calvary we would shout CHARGE! Sebastian
I liked dressing up as an Archer. It was very hot inside. I wore a thick coat and I had a crossbow in my hand. Since I am the poorest of the army I didn't have any chain mail. Connor H
It was when I got to be King Edward I and I sent a lot of people to die I enjoyed the role play because it was fun being a king and I like bossing people around. I also liked when we went to the 3D room and we got to see all of the swords and cool weapons that they used and chain mail and it gave me a deep understanding of how brutal it was! Lewis
I liked the start when the lady was doing the story map and I like how you got to answer a question then become the character. It was funny how people went on death row. Emma R
I liked putting the armour on because it felt like I was going to go and fight. Connor W
I liked when we got to do the acting at the start. I was Edward II and I had to have a mini sword fight with Robert the Bruce (Idris). Emma McL
I liked the mini version of the fake spear. Sophia
I liked trying on all the different armour and going on the battlefield and seeing all the things in the map room and having the different parts and shouting out things. Louisa
I liked where we re-enacted the battle and when we go to try on the armour. Archie
I enjoyed shouting KEBAB and when we got to try on the chain mail and I also liked the start when some people got to pretend to be Edward the First and William Wallace and I also really liked death row. Eilidh
I liked the 3D room as it was as if the arrows were going over our heads. Summer
My favourite part was at the start when we got to act out the timeline because some people had to show how they made their decisions and why they made the decisions. I liked how some of us knew different parts before and we could share it there. Fiona
I liked putting on all the armour and acting out the timeline. I also liked seeing how the spears went into the air and they were ginormous! Jonah
I liked the part where we got to go outside and pretend that we were going to charge at the English and also when we got to wear all the armour that the army would wear. Morgan
I liked putting the helmets on in the workshop because it looked funky on peoples heads. I also liked that she told us which helmet was the oldest to most recent. Iona

My favourite part was trying on the chain mail and the sword, axe and spears. Ollie
I liked break, lunch, the 3D room and when I was pretending to hit Calum on the head with a sword. Harris
