Literacy Learning
In P2/3 we are super spellers. We have been working very hard to complete our active spelling activities every week. S said " I enjoy making my play dough words, it is fun". G said " I enjoy making new words".

We have also been developing our writing, we have been learning about adjectives. This week we wrote very scary stories for Halloween! H said " I enjoyed it because the haunted houses were cool". A "enjoys haunted houses and she isn't scared of them". We are very brave in P2/3.
Numeracy and Mathematics Learning
We have been VERY BUSY in Numeracy and Mathematics this month.
Some of us have been learning about 2D shapes and 3D objects, which we can now name and find in the classroom. A said "I liked learning about it as I could build with the 3D objects".
We have also been practising using money, we even set up our own shop called 'Ultimate Infinity shop'. This gave us the chance to practice counting money and give the correct change. K said " this was interesting but I found working out the change difficult".
We have also been learning to tell the time on analogue and digital clocks. M said "I have enjoyed this because it was a little bit hard and I learned a new thing".
We have all been practising our Numbers in P2/3. Everyday we have a daily dozen to complete. J said "I love it because it is fun". H agreed as he "likes his sums".
IDL- The Ocean
As a class, we had a big discussion about the things we would like to learn throughout the year in P2/3. We decided that our first topic would be the Ocean. We have learned about the different oceans and the animals that live in them.
We were also learning about actions we can take to save our Oceans such as recycling. We collected recycling to so some junk modelling in groups . K said "We were making boats, it was fun". H said "we were building boats, it was hard to agree with other people's ideas".
