Health and Wellbeing
World of Work
This term, we have been learning about the World of Work. We have looked at all the different jobs we could do when we grow up. We discussed which jobs the adults we have at home have and took part in different drama activities to act out some jobs. We created pictures to show which jobs we would like to have when we grow up.
P.E.
In P.E. this term, we have been working on our athletics skills. We have enjoyed taking part in lots of activities that help us practise jumping, throwing and running. Have a look at us in action!
Maidenhill and Me
As part of our Maidenhill and Me topic, we have been learning about what makes us unique. We talked about where the members of our Maidenhill families were born and had a go at making some flags and family trees. We talked about what it meant to belong to a community and had a go at making some Maidenhill badges.
We learned about how different cultures celebrate weddings. We enjoyed taking part in different activities including designing a wedding cake using construction blocks, creating wedding invitations and creating a wedding meal or feast out of loose parts!
Castles
You can see that we have found learning about castles interesting, we have been building and junk-modelling loads of them!
