We are excited to have caterpillars in the nursery! We are finding out lots of information about the lifecycle of caterpillars and are enjoying observing them grow. We are talking about how they will change and enjoying reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar story.
Let's get a closer look!
'It's hanging!'
Observing our caterpillars led to the children creating their own using different resources, and then finding out about symmetry when painting butterflies.
'I want to do a pattern,
green, red, green, red'

We enjoyed a Stay and Play featuring HANEN strategies this week, highlighting the importance of reading with children and how it is one of the best ways to build their language and early literacy skills.
Enjoying the lovely weather, exploring and listening to stories!
