Basically, it comes down to you just learning the lay of the land. During orientation, you will get a tour of where your classes are, but there is still a chance that you may get lost in the first week. If you do, know that you are not alone; just ask a teacher where to go, or slip into the office, and they will point you in the right direction. You will eventually get so used to the school that you will be able to walk the halls with your eyes closed in no time.
Vernon Barford is not a big "homework"-school because teachers give you class time to practice the skills and material you are learning; they want to be there while you're working in case you have any questions or problems. But, if you don't use this time wisely, you may get behind and have to catch up at home.
Sadly, no. But there are breaks between classes and there is also lunch break.
You are allowed to carry your backpack with you, but make sure you also use your locker to store stuff. Avoid carrying all of your binders and textbooks with you all day long - the load is just too heavy!
It can be challenging because you are going to be learning some new stuff. If you find things too difficult, know that you can always get help. Remember that your teachers want you to succeed!
