Ross Sheppard is proud to host our yearly Junior High Feeder Basketball Tournament for our local, catchment Junior High Schools in Edmonton.  It is a wonderful opportunity for the players, coaches and parents of the schools to experience playing at our beautiful facility and get a chance to interact with our current athletes at the school.  

Our unique tournament set up has the boys and girls team play separate weekends, allowing for more teams to participate and giving each team more games to play.   

Dates

Girls - February 16-18th, 2023

Boys - February 24-25th, 2023

Format

10 teams.  2 Pools of 5, Round Robin Draw followed by a Single Elimination Tournament.  Each team is guaranteed 4 games of play.

Game Information

All games will take place in the South and North gyms at the school.  In addition:

• Each game consists of four 8 minute quarters, stop time.

• Home teams will wear white or light coloured uniforms.

• Home team is on the bottom bracket of the draw.

• Teams are asked to provide their own warm-up balls for the tournament.

Coaches’ Hospitality

Ross Sheppard High School will host a coaches and officials’ hospitality room for the duration of the tournament.  We appreciate the efforts and time of the coaches' and officials that attend.  We hope you get a chance to socialize with your colleagues and the coaches from various schools.

Trophies and Medals

The following are awarded for teams that take part in the Junior High Feeder Basketball Tournament:

• Tournament T-Shirts for all participants 

• Medals for first, second & third place teams.
