Hello! Let me introduce myself: I am Rebecca Bowen, the school counselor at Southwood Elementary. I started working at Southwood in 2016 after working as a school counselor, school psychologist, and special education teacher since 1987. I really love being a school counselor! I believe that everyone can benefit from learning about emotional wellness and I am committed to sharing strategies and resources to help students and their families navigate in this often stressful world. I teach social-emotional lessons in all classrooms at Southwood and work with students in small groups and individually to support their emotional health.
