Hello! My name is Tina Hickcox and this is my 6th year as the school counselor at Kibler. I love being part of our Kibler family!
I grew up in Tacoma and have lived in the Pacific Northwest my entire life. My first career was in accounting and purchasing at a manufacturing company. But my passion was in working with kids, so I went back to school to be a school counselor. After spending 10 years as a school counselor in the Lake Washington School District, I was very excited to have the opportunity to move to Enumclaw and become part of the Enumclaw School District!
Some things I like: My favorite colors are purple and teal. I enjoy hiking, sailing and camping with friends. I love coffee, watching sunsets, and going to the ocean!
One thing I love most about being an elementary school counselor is getting to know all the students and seeing them grow over the 6 years they are here. Whether I know students from lessons in their classroom, small groups in my office, or partnering with individual families in different ways, it is a passion of mine to give all students the tools they need to recognize and handle big emotions. This is something that will help them in every aspect of their lives.
