Final Ideation
First major redesign of heat staking assembly featuring linear actuator driven nest that presses up into horns and heating element. The horns and the adjacent plate they connect to have been redesigned into one component and the material has been changed to generate greater thermal conductivity and decrease the temperature tolerance.
Final design of heat staking assembly featuring horns and heating element driven by linear actuator into nest sitting atop load cells for force calibration. Design also features a heat shield at the front of the machine that prevents operator from suffering heat injuries from heating element.
