What has been done in the past week

• Completed a User Guide for the sponsor that describes how to build and use all the demonstration tools and design challenges

Truss Challenge

• Built final truss design using cardboard gussets and hot glue.

• Tested the strength of the final truss design

COM Challenge

• Coated the shapes with protective polyurethane gel

• Tested out multiple stacks of shapes to prove shapes allow for variability in stack design

Buckling demo tool

• Created cross sectional areas out of foam and drew gridlines

Acceleration demo tool

• Built prototype and wrote fabrication and use instructions

Vector Box

• Finalized design and wrote fabrication instructions

Feedback from last meeting with sponsor

• Make a User Guide that describes:

  • How to build demonstration tools and design challenges

  • Materials needed to build demonstration tools and design challenges

  • Recommendations for mass production of certain tools and the design challenges

  • How to use the demonstration tools and implement design challenges
