Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Spray mechanism design in progress
Implementation and experimentation testing on spray in progress
Proof of Concept Presentation in progress
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Manufactured three different types of spray nozzles for implementation, unfortunately, all nozzles fail to generate a form of mist.
Implement MAD 600. the atomizer on our design
Risk reduction testing performed
The new prototype with smaller scale build-up finished and successfully fit inside all different sizes of the endotracheal tubes.
Material choice finalization, 316 stainless steel and polyethylene EVA tube, potential choice of other material might be implemented, depends on future project decisions.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Finaliza atomizer design
Look for an available source of manufacturer
Optimization on the anesthetic loss
Risk reduction test on further potential problem
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
The sponsor was satisfied with the combined prototype with MAD 600. atomizer
The sponsor suggests we ask the professor for potentially available sources.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Good progress on the project
Make sure to have a complete prototype build-up before the presentation
Risks and Areas of Concern
Need to source the correct sprayer
Need a full cone misting sprayer that fits within a 5mm tube O.D.
Connects to 3mm I.D. soft tube
Experimentally determine pull-out strength of Luer Lock
Optimization on anesthetic loss
Increase stylet diameter to minimize empty space
Possible alternative tubing design
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Atomizer Manufacturer
An alternative method for mist spray
Schedule
Describe upcoming milestone
Look for available atomizer Manufacturer and implementation.
Update Gantt chart.
