Team member:
David Ivison
Daniel Lee
Ascher Ramsay
Jiahao Sun
Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Further project decision and optimization under consideration
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Three prototypes of testbed have been developed and analyzed
Analyzed risk reduction test result regarding each design option in depth
Comprehended future deliverables from professor and sponsor
Developed a broad idea on other components of the project
Future intermediate milestone has been settled
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Discussion with sponsors and team member to finalize further procedure on project development
Finalized one of the three design options by analyzing the pros and cons from each one
Starting working on the spray mechanism and retraction mechanism
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
The first priority is always combining the guiding stylet with the Laryngotracheal into a single device made of bendable material to increase efficiency during the intubation procedure. Worries about the retraction later.
All design potential option should be tested for consideration
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Make sure to mention when the intubation process is used medically).
The administration of anesthesia for the intubation process should have been shown to audiences.
Simple 2D drawing can be created on each concept with descriptive names
Risks and Areas of Concern
The increase of extra expense and complexities on the intubation tube when the retraction mechanism is applied
Possible difficulties on retraction design
Will a smaller diameter make the device too susceptible to kink? Will the stylet break if it’s too thin?
Alternative approach of apertures idea?
More stable connection between component is needed
Resources or Information Required but not Available
N/A so far.
Schedule
Describe upcoming milestone
