Progress Report Week 9 Winter Quarter 

Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Works great! 

  • Prepping for final design review at Rady on March 14th. 

  • Designing neck car for outside attachment rather than complicated inner looping

  • Moving possibly towards CNC-ing the mold

• • Successfully completed the PDR

  • Completed Draft II 

  • Noted high risk areas from current design + working towards improvements

• • Slides need to situate the complex research that has been done to finalize material + component choices. 

    • Need to show the analysis and testing and reasoning behind design decisions, as opposed to just stating the end results

    • Final presentation is not time limited so we won't have to keep the slides short like in the PDR

  • Overall, good job & fun demo.

Risks and Areas of Concern

• • Kinks within blood flow tubing

    • Could possibly be mitigated by positioning the neck collar slightly differently and adjusting the length of the tubing
