Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
CNC machine software has been calibrated.
Friction drive system design still needs to be completed.
Issues with finding the correct ball-bearing size
Rotating Stage is being considered now as a viable option,
Tests on buffing have been performed.
Just axial buffing has proven to not very effective because need to be at exact right pressure to remove flash and not damage center of dimple
Bits have been redesigned to hopefully avoid this issue.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Ball Holder has been 3D printed.
Will need to incorporate load cell eventually.
New bits have been designed and 3d printed
need to be tested
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Increase height of CNC in order to provide more clearance (Rohan)
Finish design and complete fabrication of friction drive (Jacen)
Incorporate Load Cell into ball holder (Aaron)
Order rotating stage and perform tests with new bits (Marshall)

Risks and Areas of Concern
Will friction drive work?
Will newly designed bits solve issues of altering center of flash?
