Determine correct process to remove flash:
Determine if flash removal with the use of a water jet is feasible by directing a water jet to the flash
Determine if chemical etching is possible by reviewing chemical etching process and determining whether this process will allow flash to be safely removed.
Determine if buffing will work by attempting to buff out flash using bits and end mills of different hardness.
Determine if stock bit or end mill or custom bit is needed to remove flash
Use bits and tips of varying hardness and determine area of impact of the bit and alteration on the dimple
If area of impact is larger than the dimple or alteration to significant then a custom bit must be made
