Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
The winter break did not produce a large amount of progress, since team members were overseas.
Team members are working on Individual Component Analyses.
Based on the results, several critical purchasing decisions will be made within the next week.

Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Sponsor is overall pleased with our progress. Visited with Mr. Wolfson at Coleman University on 12/16 and spoke regarding the potential of limiting the scope of the robot environment to same-room instead of anywhere in the home. This would allow us to use a less expensive trilateration system such as MarvelMind, which doesn't penetrate walls and obstacles. Mr. Wolfson would be satisfied with either solution, since his primary objective is a proof of concept video of the project in use.
We have scheduled regular meeting times with our sponsor on Fridays, and will meet next on 1/12.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
At the Risk Reduction Presentation on 12/14, instructors brought up that the project scope is significant and perhaps excessive. The team agrees and we are aiming for solutions that are simpler and off-the-shelf to limit time spent on component design and so on.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Area of Concern: the purchasing decisions made next week based on the findings of the individual component analysis will drive the project in a direction, and it will be painful to back out.
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Based on the results of the Trilateration system individual component analysis, we need to order the preferred system soon in order to have access to it. It has a substantial lead time.
Schedule
Upcoming milestones:
By 1/14, select a trilateration system. Purchase by 1/16.
By 1/14, select drivetrain motor. Purchase by 1/16.
By 1/14, select battery and charging system. Purchase components by 1/16.
Gantt Chart has been updated.
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
Approximately $55 was spent last quarter (budget update pending). Nothing was spent this quarter so far. We were however provided with materials by the sponsor, including a rollator walker, a battery pack with charger, and an alternative microcontroller.
