Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
The first design for nebulizer cough simulator approach was confirmed by our sponsor.
Reviewed design with the professor after design proposal presentation and decided to negate previous design and use new one instead
Purchased nebulizer and solenoid valve for new design
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Design proposal (nullified)
Redesigned concept for cough simulator
Purchased key components for design
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
After receiving necessary parts for the design, the team hopes to construct a prototype cough simulator featuring nebulizer technology (relies somewhat on shipping times).
Ideally, we hope to accomplish some preliminary tests to analyze droplet size of the new droplet producing method.

Scope change to focus on cough simulator.
Confirmed decision to move forward using a nebulizer to hopefully obtain appropriate droplet size.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Automating our spray gun setup would be impractical and making things more complicated and difficult for the goal of the project
Consider the fuel injector as well as previous methods of cough simulator designÂ
Work fast, break things, we are short on time and already behind the timeline because of the design revision decision

Risks and Areas of Concern
Shipping time
Nebulizer may not produce adequate droplet size
Software programming is not the team's strong suit (however we are optimistic as the code is relatively simple)
