Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Jet Lag: first iteration of the base plate and housing were completed
changes need to be made to ensure that the snapping case actually lines up with the base plate as well as ensuring the base plate remains flat instead of warped
Tree Stress: Progress has been made on all fronts of the project- lenses, temples, front frames
need to further refine as well as begin constructing necessary components for a working prototype
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Tree Stress: casing and base plate have been crafted
Jet Lag: multiple iterations have been made on all components and now the focus is on bringing these components together with possible aesthetic changes to make the prototype successfully work
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Jet lag: ensure that the technology actually works and that the LEDs, battery, and PCB are all ready to use
Tree Stress: visiting Bruce in Wisconsin and hopefully he approves of the current prototype (with the understanding that changes will be made)
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Jet Lag: Sponsor is concerned with the timeline for this project
he believes that we won't make it, which holds some merit so he's decided to take off some of the additional goals he had wanted
Tree Stress: sponsor is excited to see us in Wisconsin and will anticipate a presentation of sorts on the progress made
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
more concrete engineering analysis as well as more progress needed
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
none for this week
Risks and Areas of Concern
Jet Lag: figuring out a way to piece the components together without screws or glue- acetone bath to seal the lining?
Tree Stress: re-machining base plate to help the case fit better
