Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Assembly and Fabrication has started. Weight analysis on linear guide rails has been tested. (Alex)
10x10 inch aluminum plates cut out. Top and bottom plates constructed.
Ports were drilled into the container. Fittings were placed and o-ring fabricated. (Jordan)
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Received parts (aluminum plates, bearings, railings, motor) and planned fabrication methods. (Alex)
Micro controller hardware and software completed. (Tom)
Micro controller hardware and software testing completed. (Tom)
PC interface software and testing completed. (Tom)
Bulkhead fittings arrived and were installed. Initial o-rings look promising.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Finish Assembly for stirring stage (Alex)
Start motion and stress tests on fully assembled stirring stage (Alex)
Design of cabinet for controller started. (Tom)
Order final components for control system. (Tom)

Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
"Make crank out of aluminum, not acrylic. Try to avoid leaving things to change towards the end of the class." We are no longer making the crank out of aluminum and if fabrication goes according to plan, we will not have to change parts of the stirring stage. (Alex)
In regards to the side port o-ring, research was done but there was no guide to sizing for a curved surface. With Toms help, Jordan made custom o-rings and used two of them to seal the space.
Risks and Areas of Concern
Damaging stirring stage components during testing (Alex)
Finding an acceptable air filter (Ryan)
Having enough budget to make a usable tilting stage.
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Schedule
Continue/Finish Stirring Stage Fabrications (Alex)
Start analysis and update report (Alex)
Sealant will be in soon, and the ports can be sealed up. (Ryan/Jordan)
Initial testing of the system (with testing beads provided by Vince) should begin next week.
