Clear Air Turbulence occurrences are represented above in comparison with the total number of occurrences per year.

After launching of eE-MOR system, a broader awareness of this through reporting culture and safety promotion led to an increase of the total number of reports in the following years.

These data only concern commercial flights excluding general aviation, aerial work and HEMS.

They include both italian and foreign operators that flew within Italian airspace and data regarding all italian commercial aerodromes and international aerodromes in case an italian operator managed an event there.

Occurrences due to wake turbulence are obviously excluded.

The graph beside shows the total number of Clear Air Turbulence occurrences with injury for the 2015-2022 time period.

In addition, it also represents how many events caused (flight and/or cabin) injury to crew or passenger.
