Emanuel, to me, means family, love and opportunity.
Rachel is an organised, and conscientious student with an outstanding work ethic. She has been at Emanuel School since Year K and feels that each year she has built confidence, connected with students from all different year groups and participated in a multitude of opportunities. With her teachers' support and encouragement, she has also uncovered her passions.
Rachel remembers enjoying every camp she has been lucky enough to attend, including Year 9 Ski Camp, Machane Ayekah and Chavayah in Year 10. She has been active in many aspects of school life including school musicals, singing and competitive netball. She will always be proud of being voted by her peers as Head Madricha and having the opportunity to work with her friends and Year Group to create enjoyable, engaging initiatives and events for High School. She enjoyed giving back to the School that she feels has given her so much over the past 13 years.
She plans to take a break to travel and then study Law and/Arts.
Rachel's peers admire her resilience and how she deals with pressure and hurdles with such grace. She is described as kind and approachable with a great sense of humour. In recognition of this and more, Rachel was awarded the much-prized award for the student who best exhibits the characteristics of humility, honesty, integrity, hard work, excellence, community and love of Emanuel School.
