Aimee Armstrong
In my artwork, I am primarily interested in color, form in space, and gesture. My use of shapes, color, and gestural touch help balance each other out to create pieces that have form and sensitivity. I use these techniques to evoke a sense of appreciation for unexpected color and how they work together to create a sense of space, and appreciation for the subtlety of brushwork. I also want to evoke feelings of intrigue and excitement in my paintings, regardless of the subject matter. Although my subject matter may vary, I use color, brush technique, and space to express complexity and energy.
