Paula Delfs

The Southwest’s landscapes, colors and people introduced me to an expanded palette for my life, and the threads of stories either read or imagined have inspired a new resonance.  

I felt my heart grow in awe as I became aware of the female spirit I encountered, from architects and artists to mother earth and indigenous women at a powwow.  

After capturing inspirations in a sketchbook and photos, I returned home with the hope of celebrating and honoring this life-giving presence.

This art is created in gratitude for all female spirits who shared, or continue to share, their gifts so gracefully and generously.
