Marisa Gottschalk

Since a lot of the artwork I make is mostly observational, my intention with this series is to give the object a feeling or emotion while keeping it looking realistic. The feelings I chose are indirectly drawn from my own experiences, both past and present. They’re shown through my choices in composition, lighting, and color. I make art because I love the process. It’s fun in the same way as a jigsaw puzzle. First, I lay out all the pieces by drawing the picture, and then I put it together by painting it in.
