Janet Scagnelli

I’ve been thinking a lot about transformations.

The transformations we go through in life as we grow up, experience full lives as we age, and die.

I can still remember instances of how I viewed the world from my early teens through the decades.

One view morphs into the next, as ingredients are added.

We are constantly shaping and being shaped, sometimes at the same time.

Excerpt from a letter from a friend, Françoise:

Now I have “died" many times. My youth died, I grew out of this experience. My womanhood, motherhood died. And I would not have missed them. Now in old age I taste every minute.
