While we all are striving to reunite on campus when it's safe, we recognize that there may be students and families who have specific concerns that prevent them from rejoining campus until a certain date. We ask that you complete this form so that we can track the number of students who are in this position.
We continue to build the program for what a long term remote program looks like. As we're opening remotely, we'll schedule meetings with families in mid August to walk through planning.
Some families have reached about a long term remote option. If you've yet to do so and are interested, please complete this form so we can gather information.
Long Term Remote Program Fundamentals
Organized around a cohort of students who have elected the long term remote option under the care of a series of coaches (Josh Scouten, Caren Lyons, Lily Palmer, and Jenna Tucci).
Students will continue on with their academic course schedule.
We will explore streaming some courses so that students can attend in a telepresence method; based upon what we've learned from peers, it can be of poor quality and diminished efficacy.
Students will check in with their teachers as needed during office hours or by appointment.
Keeping students engaged within the social and cultural fabric of USN is paramount; clubs, cocurriculars, and activities will be mindful and aware that some of their membership may be remote for the long term.
