For Remote Learning to work as effectively as possible, you'll need to think about some tools and habits to ready yourself.
E-Mail Get in the habit of checking your usn.org email each morning and each evening. It is the tool that we will use to communicate with you throughout remote learning.
Course Pages Faculty have committed to updating course pages (BlackBaud) regularly and will have the general plan for the week ahead posted by Monday morning. We'll need you to be checking that site regularly as well.
Online Platforms Zoom will be our primary synchronous mode of communication. Faculty will also use Google Classroom if it works specifically for their discipline. Each class will clearly communicate the platform(s) that are necessary for class.
A Device You'll need a device to access remote learning. Please, please reach out directly if you have any needs. We'll do our best to help fill the gaps where necessary.
Workspace We want you to think about setting up your workspace at home. A living room, dining room table, bedroom desk are all great spaces. We recognize that you'll perhaps have to share with siblings and family members. It's less important about where, it's more important about having a productive space that works for you.
