This is my last week of senior project and I have to say I have mixed emotions. I am kind of excited to be starting the summer soon, but I have enjoyed my senior project so much that I do not want it to end.
I have been in contact with the videographer almost every day the past week. We have figured out we are going to shoot on the top of a parking garage in Newton starting at 5:30am...(yikes).The shoot in total should take around two hours to complete and get all the right angles.
We have also been sending videos of ideas back and fourth to make sure we are on the same page. .
Today I confirmed we will be working with the dancer @graceluiso. She was a part of the first photoshoot for Blue Water and is amazing. Grace will be wearing the same leotard she wore for the photoshoot for the video.
My goal for last week was to pick a song by the end of the week...I probably listened to music for up to three hours and I narrowed it down to 3! Today I have to pick the final one because we are shooting tomorrow. It doesn't help that I am extremely indecisive.
After much decision I have finally come to the conclusion that I will use the song Antidote by Fey Foxx. I really like the first minute of it especially after the beat drops and I am excited to see how it works out. I sent the song along to Grace so she could hear it prior to the shoot and plan out a few moments she may want to create.
It was finally shoot day and I could not be more excited and nervous. It has been a long process planning this video and I wanted it to be just right. We arrived at the complex and drove to the top of the parking garage. Because it was early morning the lighting was beautiful and golden and there was not a cloud in the sky. I definitely got lucky with the weather.
It was nice to finally meet Sean and we talked a little while he got his camera equipment set up and while we waited for Grace.
For about the next hour, we played the music while Grace danced and Sean videoed from all different angles. We probably shot the big dance scene 7 or 8 times. Grace will definitely be sore tomorrow.
Unfortunately, the video will not be ready until the end of May but I am extremely excited to see how it turns out and will update my website with the link when it does!
