Now that I have accomplished the first half of my project, we are back to the drawing board. The next two weeks are going to be filled with more planning and coordination. I have tackled a photo shoot my next goal is a video shoot. I have never coordinated one of these so it will all be new to me.
side note... Before you read this week please bear with me as a lot of things changed and was very up and down.
To start off the planning for this I outlined all my ideas in a google doc. Okay.. more like a brain dump. I took everything that I was thinking and threw it onto a google doc. I am going to try and organize out my ideas into an easier format for an outside viewer to be able to understand but as of now this is what I have.
I am torn between the idea of doing one video (full song) or two shorter videos (around 30 seconds each).

By Wednesday I decided I would rather do shorter videos and that since Blue Water has a bigger Instagram presence, more people would see them. I spoke to Jewel (photographer/ videographer) and found out the only days that she could shoot was either Thursday (tomorrow!) or Friday. This gives me a max of two days to get everything together and finalized. I was suppose to have all of next week to plan this! I am debating if I should grind now and shoot on Friday or wait three weeks.. I think it would be a better idea to get it out of the way earlier and have more time to work on my final presentation.
I decided that I would try and make it happen on Friday. Because I already have the outfits and general idea it shouldn't be too too bad... I hope. After much consideration I changed my mind and decided to roll with one video and use 2-3 dancers instead of one. I felt as though because Blue Water does not have a large YouTube presence, I should work to expand on that rather than take the easy route which was my original plan. This media can still go on Instagram if we keep it under the one minute mark and I want to be able to post this video in as many places as possible.
Regardless of how many dancers I use for the video, they need music. I am probably going to spend most of today (May 2nd) looking through different songs and trying to find one that works best.
Next I need to contact everyone involved and set a time and place for tomorrow. In one day...
I decided to talk to Jewel first and find out her availability then reach out to the dancers. Jewel and I were thinking early morning around 12 or so. I texted in the same groupchat we had for the photoshoot to see who could come and who could not. We really only need one dancer, but the more the merrier!
Thursday night had a lot of lows for trying to make this video happen. We went from having one dancer available, to three, to none. Of course at this point I was panicking because our goal was tomorrow. I reached out to a bunch of other dancers I know but they are all either injured of had competition. Being able to get this done tomorrow was not looking too bright.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find a dancer available on such short notice and had to scratch the idea. Next week is going to be spent finding a new videographer and making this video happen.
