Week 4

First order of business on this Monday was to record demos for both "No Map" and Andrew's new song so we could truly mark them as complete songs. We really focused on getting the ending structure of the song planned out as well as designating harmonies for each of us.

As we continued working through original content, we transitioned into most daunting aspect of our project...recording. We moved our work space into the studio on Tuesday and tried to get a feel for the space, equipment, and program that we would be utilizing for the next three weeks. In keeping with our typical candid nature, I will give a disclaimer that Tuesday and Wednesday were complete learning days. Learning the most basic aspects of the program and setup of the studio seemed to be the biggest hump we needed to get over but once we did, we were able to tap into the creative and exciting process of recording.

We recorded!!!!!!! After much confusion and many frustrated calls to our outside mentor, Jerry Potts (while he was at work), we finally got the hang of it. We were able to record all the major parts of Old Friends by Pinegrove and also our bossanova original song. We are incredibly eager to get back in the studio and keep recording!!
