Upon returning from break, we worked out the final details of the bossa nova we've been writing. Alana wrote the second verse of the song and changed around some lyrics in the final refrain to fit better with the chord structure. We ran through it a few times and finally were able to mark this song as complete, and record a final demo!
In addition, we also finished writing the nature song and worked out all of the harmonies and drum parts. We ironed out small harmonic problems as well as got more comfortable with the song structure and new lyrics. Since we made quite a few changes, we didn't get a chance to record a good demo take, but this is another song that we can check off as being completed that we love!
This song came together pretty quickly. Lukas wrote a melody and lyrics for a new chord progression that he came up with and shared with the group. We took it and created a beautiful and emotional arrangement that involved a guitar solo and all of us singing harmonies together, which we are pretty excited about!
