This course fills the Practical Arts graduation requirement OR will satisfy 2.0 credits of the 6.0 Math credits required for graduation.
Students will learn how to plan, write, and debug software using the Java programming language. This course includes structures, techniques, and algorithm designs that are common in modern object-oriented languages. The course will follow the College Board’s curricular requirements, and throughout the course, students will review and practice for the end of course AP Exam. Prior programming or technical experience is not required, though independent studying, note taking, and time management is essential.
