This course is designed to serve the student who is interested in the laws of business in everyday situations. This course will address statutes and regulations affecting businesses, families and individuals in their related roles. Topics include contracts, bailments, debtors, creditors, torts and current legal cases involving American companies. A case-problem approach is taken to enhance the meaning of new terms and concepts presented. Students will have the opportunity to sharpen their critical thinking and public speaking skills through presentations and participation in mock trials. This is an ideal course for any student interested in pre-law or business in college.
