Prerequisite: Geometry with Applications with IEP recommendation

This course is NOT NCAA approved.

This Algebra 2 course fills two (2) credits towards the six (6) Math credits required for graduation.

This course will extend the study of algebra begun in Algebra with Applications. Topics such as equations, exponents, graphs, systems of equations and polynomials will be studied to establish algebraic fluency and in order for students to see these topics as tools to approach contextual situations. New concepts such as transformations, exponential and logarithmic functions, and quadratic functions will also be studied. This class aligns with Algebra 2 w/ Trigonometry.

Throughout the course there will be a strong emphasis on applying math to contexts. A scientific calculator or graphing calculator is required.
