Senior Advanced Algebra: #0352

2.0 Credits:  Full Year Course 

Prerequisite: Algebra 2 w/ Trigonometry.  This is a senior only course.

This course is the high school’s math transitions course. It can offer students direct admission to college credit courses at any public college or university in the state of Illinois (including but not limited to the College of DuPage). The course builds upon ideas that students have previously studied in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 w/ Trig.  Topics include equations and inequalities, expressions, functions, graphs, systems of equations, powers, roots, operations with polynomials and factoring, equations of lines, logarithms and quadratics.   

Rationale: This course is a senior only course. Students in this course will be selectively enrolled based on their performance in math over the three previous years. The course will provide students with a transitional opportunity to prepare for general education, college level math.
