A. Participant Eligibility
1. Each MRSM may register a maximum of two (2) participants.
2. This is an open category competition.
B. RULES AND REGULATIONS.
"This competition will be organized in collaboration with German- Malaysian Institute. A full course related to the competition will be conducted by GMI (German-Malaysian Institute) on 3 & 4 JULAI 2025."
General Information
This Capture The Flag (CTF) competition is organized in collaboration with German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) and its industrial partner.
An online workshop for teachers and students will be held on 3 & 4 July 2025 (tentative) to provide guidance related to the competition
B. Rules and Regulations
The competition will be held online, and all questions will be released on the day of the event.
Competition Format: The competition follows an open book format. Participants may bring notes or reference materials.
Use of online resources is allowed, but no communication or collaboration between participants is permitted during the event.
The goal is to find and submit hidden codes (FLAGs) embedded in the problems.
Problems may include elements such as input/output functions, error detection, loops, and use of specific tools, based on the syllabus and beyond.

7. Live scoreboards will display real-time performance.
8. Winners are determined based on:
a. Who solves the most challenges
b. Or who accumulates the highest score within the time limit
9. Prohibited Actions
10.Plagiarism, sharing flags or solutions, or any form of communication during the challenge is strictly prohibited.
11. Brute force, DoS (Denial of Service) attempts, and platform exploitation will result in immediate disqualification.
12.Participants must maintain ethical behaviour and respect toward others throughout the competition.

C. Scoring System
1. Flag Submission
Each challenge contains a unique flag (e.g., MRSM25{y0u_Got_!t} or MRSM25{C0ngr4t5}).
Flags must be submitted through the official CTF platform to earn points.
2. Scoring Mechanics (will be define during workshop)
Dynamic Scoring: Points decrease as more participants solve a particular challenge.
First Blood Bonus: Extra points may be awarded to the first participant to solve a challenge.
3. Ranking and Tie-Breaking
Participants are ranked based on their total score.
In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by the fastest time to submit the highest-scoring solution.
D. Challenge Types
Jeopardy-Style Format
Challenges are categorized (e.g., Cryptography, Web Exploitation, Reverse Engineering, Python Programming, etc.)
Participants solve individual problems to earn flags.
