ACADEMIC & COMUNITY ACTIVITIES
On December 3, Eastern International University officially launched the Eastern International University Scientific Conference 2025 (EIUSC 2025) under the theme “Sustainable Growth in an Uncertain World: Scientific Pathways for Resilience, Adaptation, and Innovation.” The Conference marked an important academic milestone, reaffirming EIU’s commitment to research excellence and sustainable development in a rapidly changing global context.
EIUSC 2025 welcomed more than 320 researchers, lecturers, specialists, and students, along with distinguished guests from international partner institutions such as Toyo University (Japan), Chung Shan Medical University (Taiwan), and The University of Hong Kong. The diversity of participants created a vibrant interdisciplinary forum for academic exchange and collaboration.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates and prizes to 10 outstanding oral presentations, 8 excellent poster presentations, and 1 consolation work. Selected papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (ISBN), with outstanding studies recommended for submission to reputable scientific journals.
EIUSC 2025 once again demonstrated Eastern International University’s strong commitment to fostering research, innovation, and international academic collaboration, contributing meaningfully to sustainable development in an uncertain world.
On November 1, 2025, Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with Binh Duong Trade and Development Joint Stock Company (TDC), successfully held the closing ceremony of the “Power BI Advance – Advanced Course in Data Management & Visualization” programme for TDC employees. The course was delivered by the Business Analysis faculty of Becamex Business School.
The Power BI Advance programme is the continuation of the “Power BI Basic” course conducted in September. While the basic module familiarised learners with the software through pre-processed datasets and introductory techniques, the advanced course emphasised working directly with raw operational data, enabling practical application, workflow optimisation, and stronger analytical capabilities.
Throughout the training, participants engaged hands-on with real datasets arising from TDC’s daily business activities. This approach enabled employees to automate data-processing workflows, eliminate unnecessary manual steps, and minimise the risk of human error. By the end of the course, many participants had gained the ability to independently build, operate, and maintain departmental dashboards and reports using Power BI, thereby improving their agility and effectiveness in data management.
This advanced course forms part of an ongoing series of training initiatives between EIU and its industry partners, aimed at supporting organisations in their digital-transformation journey. In today’s business environment, digital transformation does not always require large-scale or complex interventions; it can begin with leveraging accessible tools like Power BI to automate reporting, strengthen data analysis, and enhance evidence-based decision-making.
The programme concluded with highly positive outcomes, paving the way for broader adoption of Power BI within TDC’s management processes. It also reflects EIU’s commitment to aligning educational expertise with real-world enterprise needs and contributing to the development of high-quality digital talent for the region.
