2012 GIrls Cross Country Team
Inducted January 14, 2023
The 2012 Girls Cross Country Team holds the unique distinction of being the only Eastern Hancock team to qualify for a semi-state in any single-class sport, along with being the first Eastern Hancock girls team to qualify for a semi-state in any sport.
Head coach Rex Putt had a young team, consisting of one senior, three juniors, and four freshmen. Two girls earned both All-Conference and All-County recognition, while five of the eight runners earned All Mid-Hoosier Conference honors.
The team won the Delta, Wapahani, and Eastern Hancock Invitationals. They were also Mid-Hoosier Conference champions. The girls placed third in the sectional and fifth in the regional on their way to being semi-state qualifiers, where they finished 20th in the Carmel semi-state.
