Steven Stunda

Inducted January 25, 2020

Steven Stunda is a 2011 graduate of Eastern Hancock. Steven holds the rare distinction of having earned 12 varsity letters during his high school career. Steven was a multi-year starter and served as team captain at some point in his career on the baseball, basketball, and football teams. 

Steven was named all-county in football 3 times. As the starting quarterback, he graduated as the single season and career leader in passing attempts, completions, yards, and touchdown passes. Steven continues to hold the school career records in passing attempts and completions, while currently ranking second in career passing yards, third in career touchdown passes, and second in single season attempts and completions. 

In basketball, Steven was named second team all-county as a senior and was a member of the 2008 sectional championship team as a freshman. Steven ranks in the top 10 in career three pointers made, games played, and assists, while also ranking in the top 30 in school history in career rebounds, steals, and scoring. 

As a 4 year varsity starter in baseball, Steven was named all-county as a junior and senior, and was named class 2A honorable mention all-state as a senior. Steven continues to hold both the single season and career records in doubles. 

After graduation, Steven received a scholarship to attend Marian University, where he played baseball and football. At Marian, Steven was a member of the 2012 NAIA National Championship football team. 

Steven is currently serving our country as a Senior Airman in the Indiana Air National Guard and works as a firefighter at the Fort Wayne International Airport. Steven and his wife, Mary, reside in Indianapolis.
