Matt Simmons

Matt is a 2000 graduate who earned 4 varsity letters in football and 3 in track.

Matt was a member of the 1998 football conference championship team. He was named all-conference three times and first-team all-county three times. A two way starter, Matt was named Hancock County Offensive MVP as a junior and an All-State defensive back as a senior. Matt graduated as the school’s career leading rusher. He remains #2 in career rushing yards, combined rushing and receiving yards, and rushing touchdowns, and #3 in career points. Matt was described as “a great running back and strong safety. He was the guy everyone knew was going to get the ball and he was still tough to stop.”

Matt now works as a commercial sales representative for Travel Centers of America. He and his wife live in Greenfield with their children, ages 3 and 6.
