Lexi Vincz

Lexi is a 2009 graduate of Eastern Hancock. She participated in track, cross country, and swimming. Lexi's highly successful track career is the reason for her recognition tonight.
Lexi was a 4 year letter winner in track. She remains the school record holder in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles. Lexi was a two-time Hancock County champion in the 100 meter hurdles and a four-time champion in the 300 meter hurdles. Lexi qualified for one regional in the 100 meter hurdles and she was a regional qualifier all four years of high school in the 300 meter hurdles. Lexi's senior year she qualified for the state finals in the 300 meter hurdles, where she just missed earning a medal with a 10th place finish as the state meet.
Lexi then attended Hanover College and continued setting records on the track. Lexi set six school records at Hanover, five of which she still holds. If you take a look at Hanover's listing of the top five times in various individual and relay events, Lexi's name appears in the Hanover record books 11 times. Lexi remains the Heartland Conference and Indiana Division III record holder in the 400 meter hurdles. Her best time during her senior year at Hanover ranked her in the top 15 in the nation in the 400 meter hurdles.
Lexi now works for Covance in Pharmaceutical Research. She has also served as an assistant track coach at Cathedral High School the past four years.
