Larry Spegal

Larry Spegal is a 1955 graduate of Wilkinson High School. He was a four-year starter in basketball and baseball. Larry started all but one game of his four year varsity basketball career. He graduated as Wilkinson’s all-time leading scorer with 1,315 points. He scored many of his points with outside shooting prior to the addition of the three point shot. Larry was named honorable mention All-Sectional in 1952 and first team All-Sectional in 1953, 1954, and 1955 at the Greenfield Sectional. He led the Bulldogs to three Hancock County basketball tournament championships in four years and the 1955 Greenfield sectional championship. Larry is retired from the Coca-Cola Company and from farming. He and his family live near Shirley.
