Doug Peacock

Doug Peacock is a 1975 graduate of Eastern Hancock. Doug starred in football, wrestling, and track. He was named All-State and High School All-American in football. He had over 50 wins and was a sectional champion in wrestling. He is the current school record holder in the shot put. Doug was a member of the 1975 IFCA South Indiana High School All-Star football team. He is the only Eastern Hancock athlete to date to earn a Division 1 athletic scholarship, earning three varsity letters in football at Indiana University. Doug is presently the head football coach at Mt. Vernon High School, with a 94-60 record in 14 seasons, and an overall career record of 114-80 in 18 seasons. He and his family reside in the Mt. Vernon school district.
