Bob Copeland

Bob Copeland coached varsity football, wrestling, and golf from 1979-1989. He coached five sectional champions in wrestling. He is Eastern Hancock’s all-time leader in wins in football with a record of 70-42-1. His tournament record at Eastern Hancock was an impressive 16-5, with five sectional championships, one regional, one semi-state, and Eastern Hancock’s only state championship in 1985. Bob went on to a successful career as head coach at Danville High School, where he won four sectionals, two regionals, and one semi-state, leading them to the state championship game in 1999. Bob is the 24th winningest football coach in Indiana high school history with a record of 224-85 and was inducted as a member of the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2001. Bob is now retired. He and his family live in Danville.
