Students and Staff That Develop Symptoms at School

If a student or staff member develops symptoms while at school the following will take place:

• • Student or staff member will be asked to wear a well-fitting mask vehicle in the building; and

  • Get tested for COVID-19, if permission granted, at school OR sent home, and encouraged to get tested.

  • If the test result is positive, student or staff member will be sent home to isolate; or

  • If the test result is negative, the school nurse will use clinical judgment to decide how to respond to symptoms in line with illness policies.
