Masking Protocols
At this time masking is optional at East Greenwich Public Schools for asymptomatic individuals.
In order to return to school, a positive individual MUST wear a high quality, well fitted face mask from day six (6) until day eleven (11).
It is strongly recommended that identified close contacts wear a well fitted face mask for ten (10) days following the last day of exposure to COVID-19.
Household close contacts are required to mask based on their ability to separate from the individual in the household who is positive with COVID-19.
Household close contacts who cannot separate MUST mask for ten (10) days from the positive household members day zero (0) of infection.
Household members who can separate MUST mask for five (5) days from the last date of contact with the positive household member.
Masking will be strongly recommended for all students and staff should the Town of East Greenwich be classified as having high community transmission of COVID-19.
REFER TO THE DISTRICT POLICY REGARDING FACE MASKS.
All students and staff MUST wear a well-fitted mask in the nurse's office or isolation room when a symptomatic individual is present (THIS INCLUDES THE SYMPTOMATIC INDIVIDUAL).
For further information on face masks please refer to the RIDOH WEBSITE.
