School times:
Monday - Thursday : 8.30AM - 3PM
Friday : 8.30AM - 12PM
Drop off
Children can be dropped off at the gate each morning, where a member of the Primary team will be there to meet them. On Mondays, parents are welcome to bring their child directly to the classroom. On all other days, drop-off is at the gate.
Pick up
From Monday to Thursday, pick-up is at 3.00 PM at the gate, where children will be brought out to you by a member of the team.
On Fridays, school finishes at 12.00 PM. We do offer an after school activity programme on Fridays until 2.00 PM for children who would like to stay on.

To make sure your child is ready for everything the school day has to offer, here is an overview of what they will need. Please label all items clearly with your child's name.

Pencil case with pencils (and a pencil grip if your child uses one)

Wired head phone (to use with the chromebooks that are provided at school for academic purposes)

On PE days, children should bring a PE kit consisting of:

Arts and Crafts
An apron or cover-up to protect clothing during creative activities
Forest School
Forest School takes place outdoors in all kinds of weather, so being well equipped is important. During summer months, we also ask that children wear long trousers, as the woodland environment can carry ticks.

Phones and Smart Watches
Mobile phones and smart watches are not allowed in school. We kindly ask that these are left at home.

Food, snacks and drinks in primary
At Eerde Primary, healthy living is at the heart of what we do. It is embedded in our IPC curriculum and forms part of our commitment as an Eco-School. Our approach to food and drinks reflects this, and has also been shaped by feedback from Primary parents who have expressed a clear wish for healthier options and less sugar throughout the school day.
Lunch
Lunch is served daily and includes both hot and cold options, with plenty of variety to suit all appetites. Alongside a hot dish, children can choose from crackers, bread, cheese, ham, salad bar, soup and more. Water and milk are the standard drinks during the week.
On Thursdays and Fridays, white bread with chocolate sprinkles or Nutella and juice are added to the regular lunch options as an extra treat alongside the usual healthy choices.
Snacks during the break
Fresh fruit is always available at school during break times, so children are never without something to snack on. If your child would like to eat something else during breaks, we ask that you send them with a snack from home. We ask that these are healthy choices, such as fruit, vegetables, nuts, crackers or sandwiches. On Fridays, children are welcome to bring something a little more indulgent, such as a chocolate cookie, as a small end-of-week treat.
Drinks during the school Day
For drinks, please send your child with water or tea in a bottle. We ask that chocolate milk and coffee are left at home.
Every child in primary has their own mug for drinking water throughout the day. Water is available from the tap and sparklink water is available from the machine.
Fruit
Fresh fruit is available in school at all times and can be taken freely during break times.
Special treats
Hot chocolate is served on special occasions, such as Sinterklaas, Christmas and around the Forest School fire.
Ice cream may be served by the kitchen on hot days when the temperature exceeds 25 degrees.
Birtday Celebrations
Birthdays are celebrated in the classroom, and children are very welcome to bring a treat to share with their class. We encourage healthy options, but there are no strict restrictions. Please check with your child's tutor in advance to arrange a suitable day.
After School Activities
After School Activities
We are pleased to offer the following After School Activities for our Primary students this year:
Monday – Maths Club - 15:00 – 16:00
Join Ms Eni for a fun and engaging Maths Club, where students can develop their mathematical thinking through games, puzzles and problem-solving activities.
Friday – Drama Club - 12:00 – 14:00
Our popular Drama Club continues this year, giving students the opportunity to build confidence, creativity and performance skills through a range of drama activities and performances.
If your child would like to attend either of these clubs, please let us know. We ask that students who sign up commit to attending for the duration of the term wherever possible. This helps us to plan activities, resources and staffing effectively, ensuring the best possible experience for all participants.

Children are welcome to bring a toy or game from home on Thursdays only for use during break times.
Please ensure that any items brought to school are age appropriate, safe, not excessively noisy and not particularly valuable or fragile, as we cannot accept responsibility for accidental loss or damage.
