With this project, I wanted to show people that recycling is actually a lot easier than they might think.
So with that in mind, I decided to make a YouTube Channel with tutorial videos on making paper baskets with unwanted magazines. The first 'product', in a sense, is a simple rectangular basket like the one shown above in the background. The tutorial for it is split into two videos, both of which are below.
Of course, one might argue that using metal wire isn't eco-friendly, but I used leftover wire that otherwise would just be left somewhere and forgotten. As said in the video, it provides stability and allows the basket to hold more weight, but they are not necessary.
I have honestly had a lot of fun learning to weave these baskets, but the editing of the video was an absolute headache. But well, it was a learning experience, so I really didn't have anything to lose. For the Personal Project, it's always better to choose something that you are motivated to do, so that you don't leave it till the last minute. I think that I've generally learned a lot from completing this project (including my ever-present tendency to procrastinate). No, I did not just say that.
Jokes (or rather, just my terrible attempt at humour) aside, others have probably said this but don't procrastinate on this project, especially if you want to do something big. It really isn't worth the trouble.
