All staff and students adhere to the Yarrabah values, school rules and code of conduct


Yarrabah has five values that are used to guide students, staff and our community.


Yarrabah School has adopted school rules. The rules are closely aligned with the school's values. Our school rules are taught explicitly and referred to regularly throughout the week providing students with the opportunity to understand what a student, teacher and parents/carers role is, in context at Yarrabah. The 4 school rules are:

Opportunities to reinforce and teach these rules explicitly, within the context and in the environment are provided regularly. The Matrix enables students and teachers to break down components of the rule for reflection and feedback purposes.

Yarrabah staff adhere to the code of conduct and all related policies. 


The code of conduct is used in the induction process, the recruitment process and during PDP reviews. All staff are expected to sign and agree to the code of conduct terms.
