The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is the certificate that the majority of students in Victoria receive on satisfactory completion of their secondary education.
You can choose a variety of studies that let you explore your interests and pursue your goals.
Unit 1 and 2 subjects are usually studied in Year 11, and Unit 3 and 4 subjects are usually studied in Year 12.
Completing the VCE can give you an ATAR score, offering a direct pathway to university.
The VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) is a two-year applied learning program that’s part of the VCE.
You will get skills for work and life and hands-on experience in one or more industries, finishing school with an employability edge.
The VCE program provides diverse pathways and will prepare you for:
University

Further education and training
Going straight into the workforce
